Ava Slipp Signs with STU Women's Volleyball
Fredericton, NB – Ava Slipp, a standout athlete from Fredericton, has committed once again to joining the Tommies, but this time as a middle player for the women's volleyball program.
Having honed her skills with the Reds Volleyball Club and the Fredericton High School varsity volleyball team, Ava is poised to make a significant impact on the Tommies program. With a strong work ethic, passion, and positivity, she is determined to contribute to the team's success both on and off the court.
In explaining her decision to choose STU, Ava cited the university's close-knit community and its alignment with her academic and athletic goals.
One of the key factors in Ava's decision was the opportunity to play under the guidance of Coach Kim, whom she holds in high regard. Having previously played for Coach Kim on her u16 and u17 Reds club teams, Ava values her coach's expertise and coaching style, which have played a pivotal role in her development as a volleyball player.
Standing at an impressive height of 5'11", Ava will bring versatility and athleticism to the Tommies roster. As a multi-sport athlete since the age of 3, she is grateful for the opportunity to continue pursuing her passion for both volleyball and soccer at the collegiate level.
Kim Colpitts women's volleyball head coach and the entire Tommies volleyball program are thrilled to have Ava on board and are eager to see her excel both on the court and in the classroom.
